Although you wouldn’t think it to look at the weather, Spring has sprung. The majority of my clients have their year end as the end of March, so this time of year is generally pretty busy and filled with looking back at the previous year and planning what is to come.
On the theme of looking forward, March saw me preparing to start my limited company. When I started The Number Ninja back in September 2016 I chose to operate as a sole trader, however it’s now time to make the move. So last month any time spent not doing client work was mainly spent on admin, such as opening a new bank account, re-issuing contracts, etc. If you’re wondering whether sole trader or limited company is best for you, I’ve got a blog post coming up that will help you out.
I’ve been making a conscious effort recently to make sure that I have some downtime. It can be very tempting when you run a business to live and breathe it, and whilst that can be great, I’ve learned from experience that I also need to take time for myself too, to just be Emma. So with this in mind my partner and I headed to Bristol for the weekend. Unfortunately we’d chosen the weekend when the Beast from the East hit! Bristol was beautiful in the snow, although sadly most of the city was closed as a result so we didn’t get an opportunity to see what it has to offer. Of course, this just means we’ll have to go back soon!
I welcomed three new clients last month, all very different to each other, and I’m excited to see their businesses grow. I also had several sessions with people training them on how to use Xero, which is something I really enjoy doing.
How was March for you? Get in touch and let me know what you got up to.
